I’ve tried starting a blog more then once. For reasons—including but not limited to— procrastination, perfectionism, and lack of knowledge and experience, it’s always failed. This is another attempt to start writing, and it may or may not succeed.
Disclaimer notwithstanding, allow me to say a bit about why I started this blog.
I’ve always been a bit of an information junkie. Whether it is today’s news or some ancient bit of church history, I’m always down to learn something new. But I’m especially interested in the big questions of life. Questions that should have our attention more then then they normally do.
Questions such as
How do I find truth?
Who is God?
How do we get to know Him?
What is reality?
How does my environment and upbringing affect my search for truth?
Also questions like
What are the strengths of conservative Anabaptism?
What are its weaknesses?
How are conservative Anabaptists handling Scripture?
What are other Christian denominations doing better then we are, and how can we learn from them?
How are Mennonites affected by other Christian movements?
Where are Mennonites headed?
What does good Christian evangelism look like?
While I intend to keep the majority of the content along these lines, anything that piques my attention is eligible for a blog. Don’t be surprised by ramblings about pop culture and politics.
It should also be noted that satire and sarcasm are part of the way I communicate. Please don’t take anything too seriously.
As I have no more important things to say, this blog is ending. Thanks for reading.
